Dark Matter


Dark matter is very common in our Universe, but no-one knows what it actually is! It is called ‘dark’ because it cannot be seen with light. In fact, dark matter can’t be seen by any telescope we have at the moment. It is well and truly dark, but astronomers are almost certain it is there. How can they be so sure? What is dark matter made of? How would we find it?
